A. Report text is used to present information about something. It is as a result of systematic observation and analysis
B. The generic structure :
1. General statement: give the general information about the subject for example
animal, public place, plant, etc which will be discussed in
general
2. Description : give the description of the subject which will be discussed
in detail

Elephants
GS: An elephant is big animal but elephant has tiny eyes. We can see a lot of elephants in the zoo.
D :An elephant uses its trunk like a hand. It breaks off branches from trees and shrubs with its trunk. Elephants eat leaves, twigs, flowers, grass, etc. An elephant drinks with its trunk. The elephant squirts water from its trunk over its thick, wrinkled skin. Sometimes an elephant wades in to water over its head.
An elephant’s big ears are great for hearing. An elephant can hear some sounds that are more than a mile away. Elephants “talk” to each other. They make low, rumbling sounds that can be heard faraway. Elephants have tusks because they sometimes need to dig for food. Elephants also use their tusks for fighting.
Male and female elephants only come together to mate.
